Obituary for David Matthew Edmonds
David Matthew Edmonds, 81, passed away on May 27, 2024. He was the son of the late, Moulton Edmonds and Ruth Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Jefferey Edmonds.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Ellen Vaughan Edmonds, daughters, Sharri Nixon, Wendi Underhill, brothers, George Edmonds (Dorothy), Moulton Edmonds, Jr., Quencie Edmonds, sister, Jayne Smith.
David graduated from Tennyson High School, Hayward, CA., in 1961. He was a member of IBEW local 595 Electrical Workers Union, a member of the Greensville County Historical Society, and a member and active participant in the EAA. He also served in the U.S. Navy, Alameda, CA. David was also a Pilot & Aviation enthusiast. He loved to travel, hike, and camp and has lived in Emporia, VA., for the last 10 years.
