Obituary for Ruth Carter Pritchard
Ruth Carter Pritchard, 67, passed away on May 7, 2023 following a brief illness. The daughter of John Raymond Pritchard, Jr. and Emma Ruth Watkins Pritchard, she was born in Richmond, Virginia on February 25, 1956 and is survived by her brother, John R. Pritchard III, of Williamsburg, Virginia, and many loving cousins and friends, including her good friend Gary Williams. Ruth Carter loved singing, participating in theater, history, and all animals. She was a Graduate of Brunswick Academy and Mary Washington College, now the University of Mary Washington. A graveside service will be held at Emporia Cemetery on May 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend J.M. “Sonny” Browne III officiating.
