Obituary for Roger Dale Gibson
Roger Dale Gibson, 71, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Roger Gibson and son Larry Wesson.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Judy Gibson, mother, Janie T. Gibson, son, Tony Wesson (Pam), daughter, Katherine Gibson, brothers, William “Bubba” Gibson, Larry Gibson (Connie),sisters, Wanda Arnold (Richard), Dawn Veliky (Mike), grandchildren, Hayley, Alec (Amanda), Brock, and Erick.
Roger was born in Brunswick County, Virginia but spent most of his life here in Emporia. He worked for Appliance Service Company for several years doing heating and Air Conditioning and retired from Verizon after over 20 years of employment.
Roger was also a Vietnam Veteran after serving four years in the U.S. Airforce.
The Family will receive friends at Echols Funeral Home on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 5:00P.M. to 6:00 P.M. A memorial service will immediately follow starting at 6:00P.M. with Pastor Rick Ragan officiating.
