Obituary for Robin Pope Powell
Robin Pope Powell (64) passed away April 7, 2024 in Skippers, VA. She was preceded in death by her father, Junis Pope Jr., brother, David Earl Pope, sister Kathy Darden and stepson Craig Powell.
She was a loving wife, mother and “Mimi” to her heartstrings Gracelyn and Blaine Powell. A member of Fountain Creek Baptist Church, She enjoyed shopping, baking, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and watching her son race.
Robin is survived by her husband of 41 years, Edwin (Bulldog) P. Powell, Jr. , son Edwin (Ed) P. Powell III (Kim), stepson Keith Powell, stepdaughter Kim Buckner (Doug), mother Charlotte Rasnake, brother Dale Pope (Debbie) her grandchildren Blaine Powell and Gracelyn Powell, special friends Lori Wells and “The Real Housewives of Brink”. She will also be leaving behind Jessica Dunn and kids which she held dear to her heart.
The family will receive friends at Echols Funeral Home on April 12, 2024 starting at 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.
A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at Echols Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Fountain Creek Baptist Church, Greensville Volunteer Rescue Squad and Emporia Fire Dept.
