Phyllis Allen Woodruff, 80, passed away on December 13, 2023. She was the daughter of the late, Curtis F. Allen and Cornelia Daniel Allen. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Roger Woodruff, sisters, Ruby Harvey and Beatrice Harrell, granddaughters, Tiffany Woodruff and Tabetha Woodruff.
Left to Cherish her memory is her son, James Woodruff “Julie”, daughters, Gail Seward “Billy”, Brenda Murphy “Bryan”, brothers, Sherman Allen, Wesley Allen, Linward Allen, Ray Allen, sister, Margaret Hudson, grandchildren, Amanda “Jon”, Kimberly “Kenny”, Jennifer “James”, Brandon “Amber”, Craig, Bryan Jr. “Allyssa”, Hannah “Alex”, Joshua, along with fifteen great-grandchildren.
Phyllis loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family gatherings were always filled with laughter around the dinner table. Along with the love she had for her own family was the love she had for her siblings, especially her sister Margaret who she shared a special bond.
In recent years, she enjoyed working for Jimmy Turner at J&M where she made lasting friendships with co-workers and many others in the community. She was also a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church for 47 years and truly cherished her church family.
She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Echols Funeral Home on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation starting at 2:00P.M. with Pastor John Kinsey officiating. Interment to be held at Greensville Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greensville County Volunteer Rescue Squad or Faith Baptist Church.
