Obituary for Otis Warren Moore

Otis Warren Moore, born on October 15,1926, in Greensville County, Virginia to Donnie and Fletcher Moore, Sr., went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2025, at the age of 98. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Frances Geraldine Brown Moore, siblings, Gladys Taylor, Louise Taylor, Alice Blankenship, Margaret Grizzard, Effie Lifsey, Willard Moore and Fletcher Moore, Jr. He is survived by son, Harry Lynn Moore, daughter, Cathy Moore Lee, son-in-law, George M. Lee and grandson, Paul Everett Lee, sisters Inez Whitlow, Bernice Lewis, sister-in-law Mabel Moore and numerous nieces and nephews. Warren was a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church where he served as a deacon chairman. He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean war and was active in the community serving as President of Greensville County Farm Bureau and Board of Directors of Brunswick Academy. His faith, his family and his farm were the constants in his life.

Services will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 2pm at Zion Baptist Church in Skippers, Virginia followed by a visitation/reception. Memorial gifts may be made to Zion Baptist Church, c/o Janice Elliot, 2006 Rolling Acres Road, Emporia, VA 23847.
