Obituary for Marvin McKinley Kenan
Marvin McKinley Kenan, 89, of Emporia passed away July 27, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine Kenan. He is survived by his wife Patsy Kenan; his daughter Susan Lee Herbster and husband Ronald, his son Marvin Reynolds Kenan and wife Deanna and a stepson Chris Scott; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years, a longtime member and past president of Greensville Ruritan Club, and a proud World War II Army veteran that served his country in The Battle of the Bulge. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, 6-8, at Echols Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held 12 pm, Wednesday at Echols Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment in Emporia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Main Street Baptist Church. Condolences may be sent to www.Echolsfuneralhome.com
