Obituary for Margaret Hoverstock Blick
Margaret Lee Hoverstock Blick, of Emporia Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Elvin Carlisle Hoverstock and Sarah McHorney Hoverstock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ruben Blick, brother-in-law, Earl Blick, sister-in-law, Joyce Powell.
Margaret is survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family sister-in-law Diana R. Blick and former brother-in-law Tommy Powell.
She was a proud member of Main Street Baptist Church.
Margaret was retired from both Weldon Mills, Emporia and then BB&T, Emporia.
Richie Blick will be inviting guests to Margaret’s home on Saturday evening beginning at 6:00pm for visitation.
On Sunday September 14, 2025, there is an after-church social from 12:30pm - 1:30pm and everyone is invited at Main Street Baptist Church social hall.
A graveside service will be held at the Emporia Cemetery on Sunday, September 14, 2025 starting at 2:00pm with Pastor Rand Forder officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Main Street Baptist Church in her honor.
