Obituary for Larry Thomas Barnes
Larry Thomas Barnes, 78, passed away on November 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vannie Lee Barnes and Mary Maitlend Barnes, son, Michael Wayne Barnes brothers, Robert Gene Barnes and William Barnes, sister, Elsie Cunningham. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Virginia Phillips (David), along with numerous nieces/nephews.
Larry was born in Greensville County, Va on March 3, 1947. He lived most of his life in Chesterfield, Va., and retired as a brick layer. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt in his younger years. He was also a member of the American Legion in Petersburg, Va.
A graveside service will be held at the Barnes Family Cemetery (18204 Hilda Road, Yale, Va., 23897) on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 1:00p.m.
