Obituary for Edith Cavey Morriss
Edith Cavey Morriss, 82, passed away on April 23, 2022. She was the daughter of the late, Neuit Thorpe and Ruth Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vernon “Pete” Morriss, sister, Rose Rabbit, brothers, Buck Thorpe, Earl Thorpe, John Thorpe. She is survived by her daughters, Angela Moore (Steve), Patricia Velvin (Chris), sisters, Maggie Bendell, Peggy Vaughan, Ruth Oberry, brother, Neuit Thorpe, grandchildren, Brock (Ashlynn), Calvin (Ashley), Ethan (Dana), Kaitlin (Cole), Great-grandchildren, Hayden, Kenzie, Olivia, Madison, Riley, cousin and best friend, Martha Williams.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Cheryl White, Diane Givens, and Kindred Hospice for the excellent care of Mrs. Morriss.
A visitation will be held at Echols Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. The funeral service will follow immediately after visitation at 2:00 P.M.
