Denise Driver Allen, age 63, passed away on September 9, 2024. She was born August 25, 1961 in Roanoke Rapids, NC to Willis and Keets Driver. She lived in Skippers, VA with her loving husband, of 41 years, David Allen. She retired in 2018 from Georgia Pacific in Emporia, VA. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister Cheryl Ann Driver. She is survived by her husband David, son Cliff and his wife Sarah, and granddaughter Olivia. Also survived by sister Janice Elliott, husband Sterling, brother Donnie Driver, wife Linda, brother Rodney Driver, wife Bonnie, and brother Mike Driver, along with 9 nieces and nephews. Denise was a dedicated, hardworking woman, who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She was a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church, held the position of treasurer, and always willing to lend a helping hand and offer kind words of comfort to those that needed it. She loved the beach and being outdoors. Her personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered and her passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved her.
Service will be held at Zion Baptist Church 974 Zion Church Road, Skippers, VA 23879 at 10am, Friday, September 13, 2024. Funeral directed by Echols Funeral Home, 806 Brunswick Ave, Emporia, VA 23847. The family would like to invite everyone to a reception at Zion Baptist Church following the service.
