Christina Il Nan Choung Moseley, born November 15, 1942, to Ha Won Chung and Chung Suk Oh, in Kang Won-Do, South Korea, passed away peacefully in her home on January 24, 2026, in Emporia, VA.
Christina traveled to the United States in 1962 to California. She lived in Radcliff, Kentucky, where she met George Benjamin Moseley of Ebony, VA. They married on October 27, 1968, in Warrenton, NC. In October 1972, they moved to Emporia. She was a devoted member of Main Street United Methodist Church, as well as a loving and generous mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
Surviving to cherish Christina’s memory is her daughter, Kim Hutson (Brian), grandson, Lee Bullock, Emporia, VA and granddaughter, Elizabeth Hutson, Franklin, TN. Also, surviving are great-grandson, Trey Bullock, Emporia, VA and great-granddaughter, Maleigha Bullock, Emporia, VA. She is also survived by two step-grandsons, Tyler Hutson, Vancouver, WA and Austin Hutson, Huntsville, AL; her sisters-in-law, Betty Lett, Hattie Baird and Virginia Clary; a special nephew, Corey Lett (Beth); and several beloved nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dear friend, Elizabeth “Betty” Gay.
Christina was predeceased by her parents, sisters-in-law, Ethel Jones, Blonnie Jones Stotesbury, Hazel Ezell, and Lucy “Jane” Daniel.
Celebration of Life will be held on March 14, 2026, at Main Street United Methodist Church, 500 South Main Street, Emporia, VA 23847. The family will receive friends at 11:00 am and the service will begin at 12:00 pm.
