It is with heavy heart I learned of Jimmie"s death. I know your hearts are broken, but he is with a loving God and is in no pain any longer. I regret that my Job prevents me from being there at the visitation and service, but I am with you in spirit. Jimmie was a warm and genuine human being. I saw him last spring during the relay for life, I had not seen him since 1986. he was just as kind as always and had that big grin on his face. That is how I will remember him! I hope to maybe come by and see you the next time I am in Emporia. Blessed be!

Jimmie was my friend for over 40 years, and he was the finest detective-partner a police officer could ever wish for. He was always there for anyone who needed him, no matter what they needed him for, or when they needed him. We worked together, played music together, and he even took the time to teach me to play golf. Well, he tried to teach me, but I didn't give him much to work with. He never gave up, though. And through all the years, I never saw Jimmie without a smile on his face. He loved life, and most of all he loved his family. While others talked about sports and other trivial things, Jimmie talked about Cindy, Laurel, Kenny, Karen, and Michael. Jimmie Allen was a bright spot in my life, and I'll always be grateful for his friendship. The world lost a good one when Jimmie left us.
